Sales in the past month dipped 8.95 units to 1,12,010 units down from 1,23,016 units sold in December 2021. In November 2022 (during which period there was no festive season) and January 23rd 2019 (just after New Year), we saw an increase of 22% and 13% respectively; but so far this year we have seen a decline of 9%.

In December 2019 also Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) saw an increase of 13 percent over the previous year with its total numbers being around 1 lakh cars sold at an average price tag of Rs 11 lakhs per unit which is very good for it considering that it was facing several issues like high-interest rates on loans and low automobile prices due to GST incidence among others which hurt its sales negatively

The car manufacturer also stated that it managed to exceed its FY22 annual production by 10 percent.

During the past quarter (Q3FY22), total production stood at 3.43 lakh units compared to 3.09 lakh units produced during Q3FY21.
