Mercedes-Benz India to launch new-gen CLA Class & GLA Class!

All the automakers have great plans for the new year. We have seen many new launches being planned and many concepts being worked upon! Let’s see what Mercedes-Benz India has in the house for us!

Mercedes-Benz India had revealed 4 models which they were planning to launch in India in 2020. These included the new GLS, GLC Coupe, AMG GT four-door and the new GLE. Mercedes Benz will begin the new year launch spree with the launch of the GLE by the end of this month.

Oh No! Mercedes-Benz To Get Costlier Ahead Of 2020

Mercedes-Benz GLA Class was unveiled last month. The carmaker took the wraps off the baby SUV. The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA Class has got bigger dimensions. The new boy in town stands longer and taller than its ancestor. This baby SUV is also based on the MFA platform as the new A-Class. Talking about the design, the new GLA Class has an all-new exterior design and on the inside, the model has received a fully digital instrument console, fighter-jet style AC vents. A brand new touchpad and coloured heads up display add on to the new features.

Mercedes-Benz India is yet to disclose the engine specs of the India bound model. The international spec GLA is powered by a 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine which is capable of churning out 161 bhp. Electric is the future but Mercedes does not plan to go all-electric with this one. We can expect a plug-in hybrid to join the lineup later on.

What? Mercedes-AMG GT 73 Teased Ahead Of Debut

The Vegas CES 2019 made us see the first glimpse of the Mercedes-Benz CLA class. The car has some really cool design language on the outside and the features on the inside are just class apart! The MBUX infotainment system makes the car stand out! A 2.0 L turbo petrol engine powers the CLA which makes it produce 225bhp! The CLA will carry a 7-speed DSG transmission. We can expect Mercedes to offer it with a diesel engine as well when it arrives via the CKD route, later this year.
