Amidst all the glitter and gold at MG’s pavilion at the Auto Expo there stood a small and enticing the MG E200. Specially designed for congested urban cities, the E200 is a 3-door concept designed for personal mobility. The all-new Mini-EV is also being considered as the final solution for all the congested Indian roads.
The MG E200 is a two-seater EV and stands at 2,488mm long in length, 1,506mm width, 1,617mm height, and weighs almost 800kg.
The MG E200 gets a 29kW permanent magnet synchronous motor capable of pushing the power output to 39hp and can do a top speed of 100kph. MG has also claimed that they have taken all the relevant steps to make the motor on the Mini EV as quite as possible.
The E200 gets its power from a lithium-ion battery pack and holds an estimated range of 210 km on a single charge.

Feature-wise the MG E200 supports LED lights, multi-function steering wheel, an impressive 7.0-inch infotainment system, ABS, EBD with multiple airbags.
The MG E200 EV is only being sold in the Chinese market with a left-hand-drive configuration. As of now, MG Motor seems to be gathering some customer feedback in order to reciprocate the idea of bringing the MG mini-hatchback to the Indian shores.
If and when launched the E200 will rival the likes of the Mahindra e2o which comes priced between ₹7.48 Lakhs – ₹8.23 Lakhs.
