With the immense success of the MG Hector and the ZS EV, Chinese owned British legacy MG Motors is all set bring in some big guns with their new line-up which includes the Gloster SUV, the G10 MPV, ZS Petrol, the E200 and 360M.

This could turn out to be a big step for the company as according to President and MD MG Motor India, Rajeev Chaba “Right now, the MG brand in India is clearly moving up, with the Hector, ZS EV, and the upcoming Gloster, and we want to consolidate it there and establish its position,”

Adding further he also went on to say “But then, afterwards, we want to come down, and we hope the strong brand will help”.

The MG Gloster is set to compete against the bid daddies including the Toyota Innova, Ford Endeavour and the Mahindra Alturas G4. We can expect the 360M to get a Jeep sourced 2.0-litre diesel and the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit which also powers the MG Hector. Both the engines could be offered with either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

As per Rajeev Chaba “There aren’t many players in this segment, so this could give us good volumes,” this could be a clear indication towards the brand launching the MPV at a much sooner date.
