Renault Triber will be getting a turbo petrol engine variant next year after launching on August 2019 with only a single-engine gearbox combination.
Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO and MD, Renault India, recently stating: “By the end of the first quarter next year (March 2020), we will be introducing a new variant of Triber which will be followed by the AMT variant later.”

- The Renault Triber variant is expected to launch early 2020 followed by the AMT launch.
- Powered by Renault-Nissan developed a 1.0 litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine this engine is expected to be in Renault and Nissan products in India from 2020.
- The current Renault with a 3- cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine provides a torque of 96Nm and 72PS.
- Renault Triber has a 5-speed manual transmission and the turbo petrol variant is expected to follow suit.

The interior features a touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay allowing you to easily connect your phone.
- A three vent conditioning system, keyless entry and push to start button makes the car feel advanced.
- An Outer Rear View Mirror which is controlled electrically ensures you get precise control from the comfort of your driver seat.
- Externally, Renault Triber has body-coloured bumpers and door handles available in Metal mustard, ice cool white and moonlight silver paints.
- Styled flex wheels, roof rails with a capacity of 50kgs front and rear SUV skid plates make the car look sleek.
- The engine is expected to be BS6 to comply with the new emission norms.
- The current manual powertrain has four variants named RXE, RXL, RXT, RXZ.
It is to be noted that the above-stated features are only available in the top model of Renault Triber and may or may not be present in lesser variants. It will rival against Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Ford Figo.

Renault has recently launched the Duster Turbo.
We can expect the Triber turbo to launch soon, although there is no official confirmation yet. Stay tuned and we’ll make sure to let you know as soon as there is some update.
