The Indian automotive market is experiencing a new brand every now and then. In the recent past, we have seen many international players enter the Indian market, there are many more players who are still planning to try their hand at the Indian market. In today’s featured, we are going to talk about one such player. You might have heard about the Citroen C5 Aircross which is all set to hit the Indian market really soon. If we talk about the upcoming Citroen cars in India most of you would have heard or seen only 1 i.e. the C5 Aircross.
But there’s more to it. This French automaker has entered the Indian market with careful planning and will soon hit each and every hot segment in the Indian automotive market. Let’s see the Upcoming Citroen cars in India apart from the already familiar C5 Aircross.
Citroen C4 Aircross
So the C5 Aircross will hit the price segment of over 25 Lakhs and will take a toll on cars like Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. But all of us know, the compact SUV segment is a lot more popular in India. To take on the rivals like Creta, Seltos and others, Citroen is planning to launch the C4 Aircross in India really soon. This is an extended wheelbase version of the C3 Aircross. Currently, this car is available in the Chinese market with 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.6-litre diesel engine. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available.
Citroen C3 Aircross
Another hot segment in India is the subcompact SUV segment where Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue are having a good time in the market. However, XUV300 is the safest subcompact SUV we have in the market as of now. Among the upcoming Citroen cars, is the C3 which will rival the Sonet, Venue and the XUV300 once it enters the Indian market. Well, it would be really fun to see how this new entrant survives in the market where people have already invested their trust in the existing brands.
Citroen CC21 / C3
We mentioned two names here because there is no official statement on which one would the French automaker bring to India. Let’s talk about the segment. Because we are sure that Citroen will soon hit the hatchback segment too. Hatch is the hottest segment in India and they would surely not like to miss out on that! Well, talking about the C3, it has a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated and turbocharged engine in the international market as of now and we expect them to bring it here in India with the same power specs. Once it arrives in India, it will rival the Maruti Baleno (& the Toyota Glanza), the Hyundai i20 and the safest premium hatch – the Tata Altroz.
These were the 3 upcoming Citroen cars in India. What do you think? Will they be able to hit the market successfully? Is this brand really made for India? Would you, as a customer, consider buying it over the already existing cars? Do let us know in the comments section below!
