Hyundai is enjoying its share in the market being the second in terms of sales numbers only after Maruti Suzuki. Now to spice up the competition and its desire to eat its way into Maruti’s share, Hyundai has a few models slated to launch this year. Here are a few upcoming Hyundai cars which may or may not turn the tide, and that only time will tell.

Hyundai Casper (AX1)
Launch Timeline:- November 2021
Expected Price:- Under 6 LakhNow, this is a newly developed micro-SUV segment that only consists of very few vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and the Mahindra KUV100 as of now. But with Indians rushing towards SUVs irrespective of the prefix, we can see a considerable increase in this segment as well. Now, with Tata also launching the Punch in this segment, it is expected of Hyundai to enter it with a bang with the Hyundai Casper (codenamed AX1).
The Casper is expected to enter production next month and will be available in its mother country (South Korea) first. Mechanically, it is expected to be offered with 2 engines options with one being a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre, while the latter being a 1.0-litre turbocharged mill. As you can see from the spy images, it will have a boxy design with roof rails, circular headlights, LED DRLs and is expected to come with feature-loaded interiors like automatic climate control, parking sensors, touchscreen infotainment, and connected car tech.

Launch Timeline:- August-September 2021
Expected Price:- Rs.23.75 Lakh onwardsThe new facelift of the Hyundai Kona has been unveiled in international markets and is scheduled to be launched in India in the coming months. Upgrades to Hyundai’s Bluelink connectivity service bring voice control, remote charging to benefit from off-peak energy rates and remote climate control.

Hyundai Elantra 2021
Launch Timeline:- September 2021
Expected Price:- Rs. 18 Lakh onwardsAnother most-awaited upcoming Hyundai car is the new iteration of the Hyundai Elantra which has now grown in size and looks nowhere near the existing model. On the face, the new-age sedan will retain the same ‘Parametric-jewel-pattern’ grille flanked by wraparound headlamps. In profile, the diamond-cut wheels and coupe-like roofline gives a touch of sportiness to the new Elantra. On the inside, the new Elantra gets reams of equipment, as you’d expect from a Hyundai. Taking the centre stage is a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. There’s also a 10.25-inch screen for the full-digital instrument cluster.
Coming to the powertrain options, the new Elantra will be powered by the same set of BS-VI compliant engines as the current model, which means there will be a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine alongside a 2.0-litre diesel unit. There are also speculations of a 1.6-litre T-GDI petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology since the brand now offers a turbo petrol engine option with most of its cars.

Hyundai SantaFe
Launch Timeline:- September-October 2021
Expected Price:- Rs.28 Lakh onwards
Hyundai has pulled the wraps off the all-new 2021 Santa Fe SUV for the international markets and will be bringing it to India by the end of 2021 or maybe by mid-2022. Updates on the new fourth-gen model include a new platform, striking new design, a thoroughly revamped cabin, and updated powertrains.
In terms of design, the new Sante Fe looks quite sharp, thanks to its geometric grille, twin-pod headlamps, T-shaped LED daytime running lights and a sporty bumper with a trapezoidal air dam. The overall profile is quite butch, and the wraparound taillamps with T-shaped LED lights and a light bar at the back give it a very premium feel. The SUV rolls on 20-inch alloy wheels, which also look very sporty.
Inside, everything looks sumptuous – the SUV features a new floating centre console, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. There’s also ‘shift-by-wire buttons that replace a conventional gear lever. In addition to that, Santa Fe gets Terrain Mode Selector for the very first time. Hyundai hasn’t revealed the engine specifications as yet, but the new model is expected to be launched with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that’ll be coupled with an electric motor – the total system output will stand at over 260bhp and 350Nm. 1.6-litre mild-hybrid petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel are also expected to join the range.

Hyundai Ioniq
Launch Timeline:- December 2021
Expected Price:- Rs.30 Lakh onwards
Hyundai showcased the Ioniq’s electric and hybrid versions at the Auto Expo back in 2018. It was also available as a plug-in hybrid but among the three, only the all-electric version is likely to make its way to India. Globally, the Ioniq electric is offered with a 28kWh lithium-ion battery that takes 9-10 hours to charge from standard sockets. However, the Korean automaker also offers a provision for quick charging, which reduces the charging time to 4-5 hours. On a full charge, the Ioniq is rated to deliver a maximum range of 280km under the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
Distinctly designed, the Hyundai Ioniq gets a sleek hexagonal grille having Bi-xenon/LED headlights and LED daytime running lights incorporated in the bumper. The rear too looks interesting with LED combination lights merging with the boot spoiler. Inside, the Ioniq gets a 7-inch MID instrument cluster and same sized touchscreen unit placed in the centre, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features in the Hyundai Ioniq include seven airbags, blind-spot detection, autonomous braking, lane change assist and adaptive cruise control.
Their sedan are getting sexy every year. The new accent 2021 is looks so similar to sonata.
Hyundai is never going to bring santa fe and elantra next gen to indian market as the sedan market is shrinking and with santa fe hyundai failed with its both generations and in the past when they launched terracan they failed so now they are not going to launch these cars again
