Over 1500 bookings received for the Maruti Suzuki Ignis Facelift so far!

Maruti Suzuki showcased the Ignis facelift at the Auto Expo 2020. Ahead of its debut, the sporty hatch was launched in India on 14th February 2020. The new version of the sporty hatchback has got 4 manual and 3 automatic variants. The starting price for the Ignis is Rs. 4.83 Lakh and the range goes upto Rs. 7.13 Lakh. There are 2 dual-tone variants available in the Zeta and Alpha variant which cost Rs 13,000 more than the normal ones.

The new version of the Ignis is almost Rs 25,000 expensive than its predecessor. Speaking to a media executive, Shashank Srivastava the Executive director at Maruti Suzuki said that they have received around 1500 bookings for the all-new Ignis till now.

The facelifted version of the hatch comes with a reworked front bumper and rear bumper. The new toothed front grille also adds up to the look of the all-new Maruti Ignis.

Talking about the colours, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis 2020 is being offered in 2 new colour schemes Lucent Orange and Turquoise Blue. There are 3 dual-tone shades which have also been added to the Ignis’ lineup these are Nexa Blue with Black, Nexa Blue with Silver and Lucent Orange with Black.

The car has also received changes on the inside. Inside the cabin, the new Ignis gets dual-tone Ivory interior. Suzuki has given its own 7.0-inch SmartPlay studio system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity inside the all-new Ignis.

A 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine powers the all-new Ignis. This is a 4-cylinder engine which generates 83bhp and 112Nm of torque. There are two transmission options available with the new Ignis. The first one is a 5-speed manual transmission and the second one is a 5-speed AMT which is available across the MS lineup. The mileage of the car remains unchanged as of now.
