2020 Mahindra Scorpio Spied Yet Again

Soon to be launched 2020 Mahindra Scorpio has been spotted yet again being tested on Indian roads. The all-new 2020 Scorpio will be the third-generation of the SUV and will feature a host of new features.

It clearly seems that Mahindra is rigorously preparing for a complete overhaul of its domestic portfolio with brand new versions of the Thar and the XUV500. The next-generation of the Mahindra Thar and Scorpio are expected to make their global debut at the 2020 Auto Expo being held in Delhi between 7th to 12th February.

  • The Scorpio will come equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine compliant to the BS6 emission norms more power and torque.
  • The engine on the Scorpio will come mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
  • However, the tweaks are limited to the mechanical front. In terms of design and styling, the 2020 Mahindra Scorpio also features some major changes.

  • On the Outside, the 2020 Mahindra Scorpio gets an all-new grille which helps the air-intake. As seen in the spy shots it also gets a new set of fog lamps, headlamps and a new curved bonnet for those who had difficulty over-looking the road.
  • The silhouette on this beast has also changed all thanks to the forward-facing third-row which requires a bump at the rear end.
  • The rear overhang has also changed which might increase the knee room requirement for tall people.
  • On the Inside, the top-spec variants on the Scorpio will receive a massive touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and satellite navigation.
  • Other additional features will include wireless phone charging capabilities, automatic climate control, new flat-bed steering wheel with compressive controls on it, and updated touch and feel surfaces to make the Scorpio look and feel premium.
