It was not too long ago that the all-new 2020 fortune facelift was spied being tested on Indian roads and is all set to debut later this year. However, recently rendered images have surfaced the internet to showcase what all changes the 2020 Toyota Fortuner is likely to get.
2020 Toyota Fortuner | Engine Specifications
- Under its hood, the 2020 Toyota Fortuner is likely to feature a 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel unit capable of generating 174hp with at 3,400 rpm with 420 Nm of peak torque at 1,400-2,600 rpm. The new engine will come paired to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.As of now, the existing 1GD-FTV unit was recently upgraded to comply against the upcoming BS6 emission norms. Additionally, the engine also features a Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).
2020 Toyota Fortuner | Interior & Exterior
- Coming to the visual changes as per the rendered images the all-new Toyota Fortuner is likely to feature a new set of LED headlamps inspired by the facelift version of the land cruiser Prado, radiator grille, rectangular fog lamps and revamped front and rear bumper. Additionally, the Fortuner SUV will also support a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels and tweaked LED taillights at these angles respectively.
- On the Inside, we can expect the new 2020 Fortune is creating its interior from the outgoing model. However, we can likely expect the new model to feature new trim and upholstery along with a revamped touchscreen infotainment system that offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Price & Rivals
- The model is likely to be priced around 1.5 lakhs more than the average model.
- With its launch, the new Fortuner SUV will rival the likes of the Ford Endeavour, the upcoming Tata Gravitas and the Mahindra Altarus G4.
