After the conclusion of the 2020 Auto Expo, the year 2020 was supposed to be full of new car launches and reveals. Sadly, this did not come true. Just as the Indian automobile industry was recovering from the Great Indian Automobile Crisis of 2019, the Coronavirus pandemic struck. Many car manufacturers have delayed or suspended their car launched to later in 2020 or early 2021. On today’s GoMechanic car news, we take a look at 4 upcoming hatchback cars launching late 2020.

The new Honda Jazz will now come in a BS6 Avatar with both petrol and diesel engine options. It is very likely that Honda will be conducting digital launch of the New Jazz as the tentative launch date is slated for May 2020 (next month) and it would be unsafe to do a live launch in front of an audience.

Engine options on the 2020 Honda Jazz will be a 1.2-litre BS6 petrol engine that makes 90PS and 110 Nm, coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission with an optional CVT (Petrol only). The other engine option will be the 1.5-litre BSVI that produces 100PS and generates 200 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Prices for the 2020 Honda Jazz BS6 will be revealed shortly in a few days. We estimate the price for the new Jazz to be in the range of ₹6 to ₹10 lakhs. The new Honda Jazz upon launch will compete against the likes of the newly-launched Tata Altroz, Toyota Glanza, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20.
