5 New Skoda Cars you should Checkout at the Auto Expo 2020

In-line with the 2.0 strategy, Skoda is all-ready for a revival in the Indian market. The Czech carmaker will introduce a host of brand new and facelifted cars in the upcoming Auto Expo 2020. These include a high-performance sedan, 2 SUVs, a compact and a luxury car. Here are 5 Skoda cars that you should definitely check out at the 2020 Auto Expo.

1. Skoda Rapid (Facelift)

   

   Skoda’s C-Segment sedan; the Rapid is the cheapest Skoda money can buy. The facelifted version will receive minor and major refreshes in the styling department both on the interior and the interior. The Skoda Rapid Facelift will also get a BS6 compliant petrol engine. Skoda has made it clear that they will not be upgrading the TDI diesel engine for BS6 norms. Expect the Facelift Skoda Rapid launch at around April 2020.

2. Skoda Superb (Facelift)

   

   The Skoda Superb Facelift was unveiled last year and will be making its India debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Superb is a luxury sedan very popular chauffeur-driven luxury car. In its refreshed avatar the Superb will feature LED Matrix headlights, LED fog lamps, and full LED tail lights with dynamic indicators. For the engine, the Superb will get a 2.0-litre TSI engine in combination with a seven‑speed DSG with an optional hybrid powertrain. Expect the 2020 Superb to launch in May 2020.

3. Skoda Octavia vRS 245

   

   The legendary Octavia will make its debut in the vRS 245 avatar. vRS or Victor Rally Sports is the mad powerful version of the standard Skoda Octavia. Powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine coupled to a six-speed DSG gearbox, the vRS 245 makes 242 bhp on the wheels. The car also comes with a paddle-shifter enhanced with quick-shifting capabilities, a sport-tuned chassis and suspension along with an electronically controlled XDS+ LSD (Limited Slip Differential). Skoda has made it clear that it plans to bring only 200 units of the Skoda Octavia vRS 245 in India. Bookings might commence at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020.

4. Skoda Karoq SUV

   

   The Karoq SUV by Skoda will make its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Skoda Karoq will rival the likes of the Jeep Compass, Honda CR-V and the Volkswagen Tiguan in India. The Karoq is a BS6 compliant 5-seater SUV based on the Kodiaq.

5. Skoda Vision IN

   

   The Vision IN is a concept SUV that will be revealed in the upcoming Auto Expo 2020. As of now, only Skoda has shared three teasers for the Vision IN. We expect the Skoda Vision IN production model to compete with the Kia Seltos, MG Hector and the Hyundai Creta in India.
