Mahindra XUV700
The recently launched XUV700 was an instant hit among the people, with more than 65,000 within 14 days. This is the ultimate SUV with the whole package of technology & power. XUV700 was recently crash-tested by Global NCAP, and it scored a 5-star rating. You can also get side curtain airbags and more safety features which are available with particular variants.

XUV700 held Mahindra’s reputation high with an excellent rating, making it worthy of the “ultimate SUV” title. The deliveries have already commenced since late October, and the waiting period has already reached 10 months.

Tata Punch
This is the latest product from Tata, and Punch has already established its place in the segment. This micro-SUV is the best budget pick at the moment with an exceptional package. It tackles bad roads with ease and has first in segment features such as the traction pro mode & brake sway control.

The engine does lack a feeling of playfulness, but the features & capabilities make up for it. As Tata has the safest cars, Punch is holding up that name with a 5-star rating. Tested by Global NCAP, Punch is one of the safest cars in the market.

Mahindra Thar
The Thar has been around since 2010 and still is the most loved offroader in the country. After a decade, it is more of a legendary icon with a wide audience. The new version was launched in 2020 and already has a waiting period of about a year.

Mahindra Thar scored 4-stars on the Global NCAP crash test. Once again, living up to the reputation of safe cars, this was an excellent rating for it. This makes it one of the best SUVs in India, which you can take anywhere.

Mahindra XUV300
XUV300 was launched in 2019, based on the compact SUV Tivoli from Ssangyong. It was able to make a place for itself in the segment with plenty of happy users. It does seem a little pricey with a small boot as compared to the rivals.

But it is still an excellent deal with a punchy engine, plenty of features, and even a sunroof in the top variants. This compact SUV also scored 5-stars in the crash test by Global NCAP.

Tata Nexon
Nexon has been around since 2017 and has recently been the most selling compact SUV in one of the past few months. It finally crossed the sales of Brezza & Venue to sit on the top for a bit. A dark version of Nexon was also launched recently, limited to the top variants only.

It scored a 5-star rating similar to its siblings. It is again establishing Tata’s lineup with the safest cars in the country. It is also available as an EV.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross
Launched back in 2015, it sits above the Brezza in the compact SUV segment. S-cross is a little more premium and comfortable with more curvy looks. Despite the average looks, it handles well and has utility features.

It scored 5-stars in the ASEAN NCAP crash test, making it the only car with a total 5-star rating from Maruti Suzuki. Currently, Maruti Suzuki & Toyota are working on a collaborated SUV that could replace S-cross.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
The Vitara series of SUVs came out in 1998, with the Grand Vitara launching in India later on. It was a premium SUV but never caught on & failed due to various reasons. Maruti Suzuki later launched the fourth generation of it as the Vitara Brezza in 2016.

Brezza was among the most selling cars from Maruti Suzuki, helping them capture the compact SUV segment. It is also among the three safe cars from Maruti with a Global NCAP rating of 4-stars. There is a generation update expected by 2022.

Maruti Suzuki has the largest share in the Indian market, so it is important to highlight their safe products without any compulsion.
