Seltos was the first product launched by Kia in India, and now an update is in development. Kia has revealed the covers off the facelift globally, and it will be showcased at the Busan Motor Show 2022 in Korea starting on 15th July. This facelift will reach India by January 2023 and has already excited the fans. Let’s see what’s changed:
Exterior Tweaks
Kia has borrowed some design elements from other SUVs such as Sportage & Telluride to give Seltos the same appeal. It gets a new set of headlamps with angular signatures similar to the Carens.

LED DRLs extend into the front grille along with the ice cube foglamps, which have been carried forward from the pre-facelift version. The front bumper has been revamped with sleeker cuts & creases along with a noticeable airdam and faux aluminum skid plate for the GT line variants.

The side profile has been kept unchanged except for the new alloy wheels. The rear gets new connected taillights that extend downwards at the ends, similar to the Venue. These connected taillamps feature the Kia badging in the center along with a refreshed bumper and, more notable faux skid plate set-up.
Interior
The interior changes include a connected curved screen similar to the set-up in EV6. Although the layout is new, the size remains at 10.25 inches. In addition to that, it gets revamped HVAC controls along with a new rotary dial instead of a gear level.

Kia has not revealed the features list for the updated Seltos, but we can expect features such as a 360-degree camera as standard for higher variants. There is word around suggesting that it might also get ADAS features, but it’s not confirmed yet.
No Powertrain Changes
There are no mechanical changes expected with the Seltos facelift. It will come with the same powertrain options as now. It comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.4-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel.

The transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic torque converter & a 7-speed DCT, depending on the engine. Kia also launched the Seltos iMT diesel. Making it the only diesel iMT in the country.
