Maruti Suzuki India Records Massive Production Growth!

Maruti Suzuki has recently reported a 4.3% rise in production in the month of November 2019. A total of 1,41,834 have been sold by Maruti Suzuki in the month of November 2019. This production was 1,35,946 for the same month last year i.e. November 2018.

All the credit goes to the festive season due to which the demand for new cars grew significantly in the month of October 2019! After cutting down production for eight months straight in a row, Maruti Suzuki has reported a production growth in the month of November. The production was cut down by 20.70% in the month of October comparing the YoY stats for the month.

No doubt, the festive season increased the demands but the offers Maruti Suzuki provided were irresistible! Benefits of upto Rs.1 Lakh were offered on the top-selling models like Swift and Vitara Brezza. This resulted in a decent sale number amidst the auto industry’s slowdown. The compact and the UV segments have reported double-digit growth in sales. The hatch segment which includes cars like Swift, Baleno, WagonR, Ignis and the S-Presso grew at 18.83% in terms of production. Last year, a total of 65,754units were manufactured which grew to 78,133 units this time!

There was a significant increase in the production amount of Utility Vehicles as well! MSIL produced 27,187 this year as compared to last year’s 23,038 units.

On the other hand, MSIL reported a decline in sales by 3.2%. This has left us in thoughts about the production in the current month i.e. December. Will the declined sales affect the future production amount? What’s do you think?
