The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 was launched yesterday while bookings had already started to come through much before that. The Alto still remains to be one of the most affordable hatchbacks in India. Yes, the prices have increased a bit but the features do justify the price tag. However, if you still think the Alto is expensive, try going for a lower variant. Today, let’s talk about the features you get with the different Alto K10 variants.
-
What are the Alto K10 variants?
The Alto gets 4 different variants – STD, LXI, VXI, and VXI+. The STD, or the standard being the base model starts at Rs. 3.99 Lakhs and the VXI+ goes all the way up to Rs. 5.34 Lakhs. The VXI and the VXI+ variants also get the option of an automatic (AMT) gearbox at an additional Rs. 50,000.

STD Variant
The cheapest one of the Alto K10 variants, the STD comes in at Rs. 3.99 Lakhs.
Features include
- 13-inch steel wheels
- Cabin air filter
- ABS with EBD
- Dual front airbags
- Digital speedometer
- Rear parking sensors
- Front glove box
-
LXI Variant
Next up in the Alto K10 variants is the LXI, which is priced at Rs. 4.82 Lakhs.
Features over the STD variant include
- Air conditioning
- Power steering
- Body-colored bumpers
-
VXI Variant
The VXI variant seems like the most VFM of all Alto K10 variants as it covers all the basics a small car would need. It is priced at Rs. 5 Lakhs for the manual and Rs. 5.5 Lakhs for the automatic.
Features over the LXI include
- 2 speakers
- Audio system with bluetooth
- Internally adjustable ORVMs (manual)
- Speed-sensing door locking
- Central locking
- Body-colored door handles and ORVMs
- Steel wheels with covers
- Roof antenna
-
VXI+ Variant
The priciest of all Alto K10 variants is the VXI+, which comes in at Rs. 5.34 Lakhs. Here too, the automatic is available at Rs. 5.84 Lakhs.
Features over the VXI include
- 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- 4 speakers
- Steering mounted controls
- Rear parcel shelf
- Remote door locking and unlocking
While the VXI+ is the most loaded variant, it still misses out on features like all 4 powered windows and electrically adjustable ORVMs. It also misses out on alloy wheels which would have enhanced the look of the car quite a bit.
