The country is going through a 21-day lockdown. This morning our Prime Minister extended the lockdown till 3rd May 2020. This was a much-needed decision considering the current situation of the country. While India fights against Corona, there are certain new cars that are already here or will be launched once the lockdown is over. The auto industry stands still. The productions are paused and so are the sales. Social distancing is the need of the hour but we can’t wait to drive these cars after the lockdown is over.
Here are 5 cars that we would surely like to drive after the lockdown!

2020 Hyundai Creta
We have already seen it. We have already experienced it. Sadly, we haven’t driven it yet. The 2020 Hyundai Creta was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and hit the dealerships soon after that. The car was at the dealerships in time but before many people could get their hands on it, the Corona outbreak led the country into a lockdown!

The all-new Creta comes with a BS6 powered engine setup borrowed from the Kia Seltos. This generation is the most powerful version of the Creta that has ever existed! The naturally aspirated engines produce 115bhp whereas the turbo petrol variant of the 2020 Hyundai Creta produces 138bhp! The car comes packed with features and the BlueLink stands on top of it! This one is available in a price range of Rs.9.99 Lakh to Rs. 17.20 Lakh (ex-showroom).

2020 Honda City
This will be the 5th generation of the evergreen Honda City in India. This car made its global debut in Thailand as the 7th generation of the city in the global market. This one gets a design statement inspired from the all-new Honda Civic. You can spot LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and LED tail lamps along with dual-tone alloy wheels. We are sure that the cabin will also have some great features and comfort parameters which will make this car a must-drive after the lockdown is over!

Volkswagen T-Roc
Volkswagen T-Roc is another one on our list of cars to drive after the lockdown is over! This one was launched before the lockdown was imposed but sadly we couldn’t get our hands on this one too. Volkswagen plans to launch about 10 SUVs in India in the coming 2 years! This is just the start! The T-Roc boasts a sporty design and is based on the MQB platform. On the exterior profile, we can see premium bits like – LED headlamps, LED DRLs, sporty alloy wheels, LED taillamps, and dual-tone colour options.

On the inside, this one gets leather upholstery to make it look premium. The infotainment comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Under the hood, the T-Roc gets a 1.5-litre TSI EVO turbo-petrol engine. IT has followed the CBU route top enter India and is therefore priced a bit high. The T-Roc comes at Rs. 19.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

Skoda Rapid
This one was one of those who brought smiles to our faces at the Indian Auto Expo 2020. Many automakers showcased many cars but the Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI pleased the enthusiasts very much! This one is a new addition to Skoda India’s lineup. The new engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox. The engine generates 108 bhp and 175 Nm of peak torque. There are no visual changes. Skoda planned to start deliveries by April 14th but they have postponed it for now.

Renault Duster 1.3L Turbo Petrol
The 2020 Renault Duster was also showcased at the Auto Expo. This is also one of the cars that we want to drive after the lockdown! The new generation of the Renault Duster might seem away as of now but the decision to turbocharge the existing one will surely push the sales. Renault showcased 2 turbocharged engines at the Auto Expo 2020. One was the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine for the Triber and the other one was a 1.3litre turbo petrol engine that will come as a replacement for the 1.5-litre diesel engine of the Duster.

This one visually remains the same. Renault updated the Duster last year with a new grille, new LED DRLs and projector headlamps!
