Starting with the general information, the Aura is the newer generation model which is all set to replace the already existing Xcent. Hyundai Xcent won’t be discontinued after Aura’s launch but will be available in fleet options only. In the shots we have seen earlier, we can easily make out the Aura’s front design is based on the new Grand i10 NIOS.

The difference starts from the C-pillar where the sedan differentiates itself from the hatchback due to the extended boot. The new sub-4-meter sedan fro Hyundai features a wrap-around taillight design and the license plate resided on the bumper. In the front, the Aura gets dual boomerang-shaped LED DRLs just like Aura’s hatch sibling. For the wheels, the top-spec variants come equipped with 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Everyone has seen the Hyundai Aura from outside only. Hyundai has not revealed the interiors till yet. But we can assume that interiors of the Aura will also be inspired from the Grand i10 NIOS. The dashboard, MID and the central console will all be inspired from Aura’s hatch sibling itself.

Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity won’t be offered with the Aura as Hyundai does with the Venue. The iBlue smartphone remote which is available with i10 NIOS will be offered with the Aura as well!

What’s Under the Hood?

Hyundai Aura Sedan will be offered with three BS6 compliant engine options. The first one will be a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine which will churn out 83hp and 113NM. This will be the base variant. Next comes the 1.2-litre diesel engine that delivers 75hp and 190Nm.

The third will be a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol that is currently available with the Venue. The engine will have a 5-speed manual gearbox only. We can expect a factory-fitted CNG version of Hyundai Aura to hit the markets as soon as Hyundai launches this car in India!
