Jaguar Land Rover has stepped up their tuning game by acquiring the one who has been doing it since ages. Bowler, the best engine tuning firm is now owned by Jaguar Land Rover. FYI, Bowler is a UK based performance specialist. Bowler will be the new subsidiary for Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations Division. Bowler was formed in 1985 and has been modifying vehicles for off-road competitions. The tuner has gained success in the international market for modifying cars and making them fit for off-road competitions. Bowler joined Land Rover in 2012 where they teamed up to form the Defender Challenge, a one-make series which consisted of coolest Defender rally cars in town!

Jaguar Land Rover SVO boss Michael van der Sande said: “ For almost 35 years the Bowler name has stood for innovation and success, with a reputation forged by its participation in the world’s toughest off-road motorsport competitions. It’s exciting that we’re now in a position to participate in and lead the Bowler brand’s future as part of JLR.”

Sande further added that he feels Bowler be a great company that shows what great things you can do to Land Rovers. Jaguar Land Rover has been objecting to all the modifiers and tuners since the past. There are a number of tuning firms that modify Land Rovers. The best include Overfinch, Twisted and Kahn. Bowler, of course, was one of these but now JLR has bought it and we can expect some great accomplishments ahead!

According to a source, JLR said that Bowler will continue to operate through their current UK headquarters at Belper offering its products and customer support as it has done till now. We await some really great news pieces in the future from the Jaguar Land Rover – Bowler partnership!
