Mahindra’s most promising compact SUV the Mahindra XUV300 has made India proud again and has won the Global NACP’s first Safer Choice Award. As per Global NCAP, the award was presented by to the XUV300 after testing the monster menace upon various quality and safety standards.
Much recently the Mahindra XUV300 was also awarded a 5-star global NCAP rating for adult occupancy and an impressive 4-stars for child occupant protection just last month. The Mahindra XUV300 is the first made-in-India cars to be tested on such high-level and there is no doubt that it surely made us proud.
Additionally, the company has also submitted the Mahindra XUV300 over to the Global NCAP for further testing and with the existing model meeting both the ESC ( Electronic Stability Control and pedestrian protection requirement for the Safer Choice award.
The award was first introduced by Global NCAP at the Auto Expo back in 2018 with a quote #SAFERCARSFORINDIA rather taunting all the Indian carmakers insisting them to make products safe for the occupants and much recently they did it again with bluntly thrashing India’s largest carmaker to make at least a single product to keep its occupants safe and sound.
Speaking on this auspicious day, CEO and President, Global NCAP said, “This is a historic moment for Mahindra and the Indian auto industry, marking a tipping point in vehicle safety performance for the country. After setting our Safer Choice award challenge in 2018, it is deeply satisfying to see an Indian automaker taking a lead on safety in this way.”
Along with the Mahindra XUV300, the Tata Altroz and the Tata Nexon have also made us proud and are the only Made-in-India SUV’s to have received a 5-star rating on the Global NCAP crash tests
