The new version of the Mahindra Bolero gets a BS6-compliant engine. The exterior of the workhorse gets a reworked front fascia. This time, there are DRLs and a new bumper design. On the rear, it gets clear lens tail lamps. Mahindra has still missed out on providing a touchscreen infotainment system on the new vehicle. You get a normal infotainment system placed under the AC vents with USB and Bluetooth connectivity as standard.

Under the hood, the Mahindra Bolero BS6 gets the mHawk D70 1.5-litre diesel in an updated avatar. FYI, this engine has already gone under the BS6 certification tests. The engine develops 73.94hp and 195Nm. The same engine powered the BS4 compliant Bolero Power Plus. The power figures are likely to dip. The automaker will offer this with a 5-speed manual gearbox as it used to do before.

Mahindra is expected to offer the Bolero BS6 in two trims namely the B4 and the B6. The current BS4 version is priced at 7.61 Lakhs to 8.99 Lakhs. We can expect the BS6 version of the Bolero to be priced almost Rs. 80,000 expensive than the currently available model. Other than this, Mahindra is also working on introducing their EV lineup in India really soon!
