Maruti Suzuki has been preparing to launch one of their most selling hatchback’s second generation. We have already seen the teased photos and spy shots of the second generation Celerio, and it appears to be a treat while exhibiting a tiny sporty element.
Celerio has been one of the most appreciated entry-level hatchbacks. The bookings already commenced last week for a token amount of ₹11,000. You can book your new Celerio online or by reaching your nearest dealership too, and the new Celerio would be more than just a generation update.

The first impression has been well established, but we still are unaware of the car’s exact details. Maruti Suzuki is all set for their big day for the new Celerio to make a debut tomorrow. So let’s take a look at what we expect from the second generation Celerio:
-
Multiple-Engine Options
Previously Celerio was running on a K10 3-cylinder engine making 67hp & 90Nm torque mated to a 5-speed manual/ AMT gearbox. We expect another addition in the engine options with the 1.2-litre petrol engine making 83hp & 113Nm torque similar to its siblings.
The K10 could be modified to a similar 1.0-litre dual jet VVT petrol engine, available in both manual & AMT transmissions. The CNG variant would be available with the smaller 1.0-litre engine like before.

Length 3695 Wheelbase 2435(+10) Height 1555 Width 1635 (+55) Ground Clearance 170(+5) Boot space 313L (+78) This would add more room to the family hatchback’s cabin, and it will also stand on new multi-spoke alloy wheels. Urban black alloys in the case of the top variant.
Fully updated looks with sporty headlamps & tail-lights. The bumper and tailgate curves are refined, and the low roofline adds to the sporty appeal with the contrasting chrome & black elements in the front.

More Features
Previously Celerio missed out on features even with the top trims. To rectify that & compete better, Maruti Suzuki is now adding a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will get android & apple connectivity along with a push start/stop button. The top variants might also feature a connectivity system with Smartplay studio.
The new Celerio also gets a 3-spoke steering wheel with a semi-digital instrument cluster. In addition to that, the start/stop idle function has also been included in the added features. We can also expect a rear parking camera along with automatic climate control.
The top variants will include features like a tachometer, electrically foldable ORVMs, smart key & a door request switch.
