Is Nissan Patrol headed for India? We hope so!

Nissan Patrol is the top-spec range-topping SUV from the automaker. Firstly, this SUV has been a success for long in the international markets now. Therefore, the Japanese automaker is now looking forward to bring in the SUV here in India. This could be a really big decision as the Toyota Land Cruiser currently leads the segment. It would be a really challenging situation for the Patrol SUV to compete with this one!

Talking about the Nissan Patrol, they are planning to bring a CBU (Completely Built Unit) to the Indian market. Nissan is evaluating all the prospects currently. The new rules in India allow the automakers to import around 2500 units which is why Nissan has decided to bring this SUV in via the CBU route. The SUV has built up trust and reputation in the international markets as an indestructible model over its 6 generations. Therefore, Nissan has now planned to test it in the Indian market as well.

Although the current generation of the Nissan Patrol exists in the markets since 2010 Nissan gave it a facelift at the end of 2019. This facelift has got fresh exteriors but the ad thing is that only the left-hand drive variants got the reworked cabin. We are yet to see if the India spec version gets those new interiors. Above all, this one offers a huge cabin with ample space in all the 3 rows. In other words, all the passengers get a comfortable ride irrespective of the row they are seated in!
