Mahindra XUV300 VS XUV300 Turbo Sport!

Just after the launch of the Hyundai Venue N-Line, Mahindra also launched a turbo petrol variant of the XUV300. The XUV300 Turbo Sport gets a major mechanical change, along with a few cosmetic changes. But, which is better? The XUV300 or the XUV300 Turbo Sport? Today, let’s look at the XUV300 vs XUV300 Turbo Sport comparison!

  • Design

Both these variants look the same, but the turbo has a few additions. Instead of the use of chrome, the XUV300 Turbo Sport gets red inserts. You can see them on the grille, front bumper, and rear as well. The turbo variant also gets different alloy wheels. They’re different, not better, not worse.

  • XUV300 vs XUV300 Turbo Sport – Interior

The interior looks drastically different on the XUV300 Turbo Sport. It gets an all-black treatment instead of the white on the regular one. It looks much more modern, and classy, and just feels better. Yes, the white makes the cabin feel airier, but the black just looks so much better. The pedals now get an aluminum finish, adding to the performance theme on this car. In the interior comparison of the XUV300 vs XUV300 Turbo Sport, the turbo variant definitely wins!

  • XUV300 vs XUV300 Turbo Sport – Performance

Clearly, the performance of the new variant is much better than the existing model. It makes 20HP and 30nm more than the existing engine which makes a whole lot of difference. What this engine misses out on is an automatic gearbox. It only gets a 6-speed manual, which is fun to drive, but we do miss the convenience of an AT. In this part of the XUV300 vs XUV300 Turbo Sport comparison, the turbo wins again.

  • Value for money

The new XUV300 Turbo Sport costs Rs. 35000-40000 more than the regular variants. While it is the most powerful car in the segment, is it the best choice among these two? Well, that depends on your priority. If you want a powerful car and love the kick of a turbo, then, by all means, the extra 49000 is worth it. However, if you’re an average driver who doesn’t really care for performance, then the regular variant should be more than enough. Moreover, if you want an automatic, you’ll have to go for the existing variant.

Here was a quick comparison of the XUV300 vs XUV300 Turbo Sport. Which one would you pick? Let us know in the comments below!
