French OEM Citroen is all set to launch a new car this year. The all-new Citroen C3 will be a micro-SUV that will be produced locally at Ctiroen’s plant in Tamil Nadu. The C3 has been spotted testing in India quite a few times now, and this signals that a launch is due soon! Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming Citroen C3!
-
Design
The C3 will follow a European design similar to what we have seen on the C Aircross. An elegant, simple yet detailed approach is what could be seen on the upcoming micro-SUV. The design will surely stand out amongst the crowd of similar-looking hatchbacks and SUVs that Indians are usually used to.
-
Engines
The C3 will get a single 1.2L Petrol engine, with the option of a turbo. The NA version will produce about 89HP and the turbocharged unit will churn out around 100HP. The engine is most likely to be mated with a 5-Speed automatic and a 5-Speed manual gearbox.

Competition of the Citroen C3
The Citroen C3 will compete against cars like the Tata Punch, Maruti Swift, Maruti Ignis, Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i10 and Mahindra KUV100. The higher models can also be stacked up against some premium hatches like the Tata Altroz and the Hyundai i20.
