Hyundai Tucson vs Mahindra XUV700

Hyundai has launched the 2022 Tucson in the Indian market; it has disrupted the segment with its feature package and modern design. Hyundai has loaded their SUV with features such as level 2 ADAS, multi-air mode airconditioning and a premium interior. It does have the edge over some competitors, but how does it compare with the Mahindra XUV700?

Tucson features Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness with a futuristic design, while XUV700 has a bold & rugged SUV appeal. Both are monocoque SUVs with a powerful engine & a load of convenience features. Tucson has the most extended wheelbase in the segment; we have the dimensions(mm) compared below:

XUV700 comes both with 5 & seater versions while Hyundai offers their SUV only as a 5-seater version. Mahindra beats Hyundai in every aspect except the wheelbase; XUV700 is more extensive than Tucson. One significant front fascia difference is Tucson’s front grille with the integrated headlamps, which is a unique point. XUV700 has a strong appeal with a wide slated chrome grille.

Both these SUVs are available with petrol & diesel engines and FWD & AWD. Both the manufacturers offer AWD & drive modes with the diesel engine. Hyundai offers a naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a 6-speed automatic torque converter, while XUV700 comes with a turbocharged petrol engine with & similar transmission.
