German automotive pioneer Mercedes Benz is working on a LWB or Long Wheel Base version of the refreshed E Class. The car was spotted in China which, along with the stretched out stance revealed many more tweaks and design changes than the outgoing model.

The most prominent change is on the front where the front bumper has been given a new look along with a new grille and headlight units with redesigned LED DRLs. Further back, a new set of LED tail lamps can also be spotted. The new E Class will also get new alloy wheel designs. There is a lot to be said about the new E Class like how the styling is reminiscent of the new S Class.

Unfortunately, no interior shots are available for the new E-Class, but the car will get upgraded equipment, modern instruments and overall improved interior quality.
The current Mercedes Benz E Class comes with a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre, 197 hp petrol engine (E200 D), a 2.0-litre, 194 hp diesel engine (E220 D) and a 3.0-litre V6 diesel motor (E350 D) that produces 258 hp. For the enthusiast, there is the E63 S AMG which is a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol motor producing road-shattering 612 hp.
As of now, the LWB variant of the E Class was only available in China, however, Mercedes Benz India in 2017 decided to launch the stretched-out fifth-gen E Class in the right-hand-drive configuration.
