The most prominent change is on the front where the front bumper has been given a new look along with a new grille and headlight units with redesigned LED DRLs. Further back, a new set of LED tail lamps can also be spotted. The new E Class will also get new alloy wheel designs. There is a lot to be said about the new E Class like how the styling is reminiscent of the new S Class.
Unfortunately, no interior shots are available for the new E-Class, but the car will get upgraded equipment, modern instruments and overall improved interior quality.
The current Mercedes Benz E Class comes with a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre, 197 hp petrol engine (E200 D), a 2.0-litre, 194 hp diesel engine (E220 D) and a 3.0-litre V6 diesel motor (E350 D) that produces 258 hp. For the enthusiast, there is the E63 S AMG which is a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol motor producing road-shattering 612 hp.
As of now, the LWB variant of the E Class was only available in China, however, Mercedes Benz India in 2017 decided to launch the stretched-out fifth-gen E Class in the right-hand-drive configuration.
