Mercedes Benz had planned to fully establish the first phase of the EQ franchise in India by 2022 but with the delay in the launch of Mercedes Benz EQC, we can expect a delay in other launches as well. Once launched, the EQC will rival against the Audi e-Tron Quattro SUV. The EQC edition 1886 was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 in India. Mercedes is bringing in this one as a CBU. In terms of design, the Mercedes Benz EQC has inherited many cues from the 2016 EQ Concept that was showcased in 2016 previewing the all-electric SUV. Inside the cabin too, it has got the common Mercedes bits like the switchgear and dual-screen display for the infotainment system and instrument cluster which make it a part of the family. We can expect the price of this electric SUV to be somewhere around Rs.1.5Cr.
