Mumbai Indians is the most decorative team in IPL history. With 5 titles to their name and 119 victories since 2008, they are the true alpha of the IPL format. It doesn’t come easy and they work hard for it, and since they work hard, they like to spend hard. So readers let’s keep up with the IPL trend and here is the list of Mumbai Indians and their car collection. It pays to be successful!
Rohit Sharma-BMW M5
O Captain, my captain. Starting this list with the commander-in-chief, Rohit Sharma. He is the most essential player for Mumbai Indians and also one of the most for the Indian team. He has a mixed batting style, sometimes aggressive and sometimes lowkey. And his choice of ride surely reflects it. He drives around in a BMW M5. Arguably the best sleeper on the market right now, it runs on a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 which pumps a mind-blowing 560 bhp. It can do 0-100 in just 3.3 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. And it can still seat 5 people! Astonishing
Jasprit Bumrah-Toyota Etios
What an assorted mix. While Rohit Sharma has a roaring BMW, Jasprit Bumrah likes to roll around in a simple car. Contrary to his fast bowling, he owns a slow Indian sedan, the Toyota Etios. They discontinued the compact sedan due to low sales. It came with 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel oil burner. Sorry guys no exciting stats out here.
Hardik Pandya-Huraacan Evo
The most stylish cricketer in the Indian team, Hardik Pandya surely knows how to live the boss life. He has surely come a long way, from not being able to pay the EMI of his car to roll in one of the most hardcore supercars in the world; the Lamborghini Huracan EVO. The 3.78 crores raging Italian bull was bought by last year. It can launch itself from 0-100 in just 2.9 seconds thanks to the 5.2 litres roaring V10 producing 620 purebred Italian horses. It also has an all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The Huracan tops the Mumbai Indians and their car collection list. Great choice Natasha!
Krunal Pandya-Mercedes G 63 AMG
Same blood, same swag. Krunal Pandya like his younger brother is also a cricketer. He represents Baroda in Ranji and is an essential member of Mumbai Indians. He likes to flex like too and drives a Mercedes Benz G 63 AMG to do so. Also known as the ‘celebrities car’, the G 63 is powered by a 4.0 twin-turbo V8 producing 577 bhp. It is also one of the most capable offroaders in the market right now, although I’m sure nobody wants to fool around with it, considering its price tag of 2.42 crores. The Pandya brothers also have a Jeep Compass, Range Rover Vogue, an Audi A6 and their most prized possession, an Etios.
Suryakumar Yadav- Range Rover Evoque
Suryakumar Yadav is an Indian International cricketer who plays for Mumbai and Mumbai Indians in domestic cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. Kumar previously played for Kolkata Knight Riders. He drives around in a Range Rover Evoque. The ‘baby Rangie’ has a 2.0 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engine under its hood producing 245 and 177 bhp respectively. The petrol variant has a price tag of 59 lakhs while the diesel variant costs 62 lakhs INR.
Piyush Chawla- Mercedes Benz CLA
Coming to one of the veterans of Mumbai Indians. Piyush Chawla has had a long and prosperous career. He has represented India a lot of times and also has played for KKR, KXIP and right now is a part of Mumbai Indians. Like his playing style, his choice of ride is also simple yet classy. He owns a Mercedes Benz CLA which is the entry-level sedan of the luxurious brand. We are not sure of the variant as of now but, Piyush Chawla sir, do hit us up! Also, we absolutely adore your son and his cute little Benz.
Chris Lynn- Holden Maloo
Chris is one of the most accomplished cricket players in Australian cricket history. He has a lot of accolades to his name, not only in cricket but also rugby. He decided to stay true to his country’s roots and chose the Holden Maloo as his choice of commute. Holden is an Australian automotive company that makes one of the sickest performance utility vehicles in the world. The Maloo is their flagship vehicle which hosts a 4-litre V8 engine under its bonnet. I wish I was rich enough to import one. Maybe someday.
Kieron Pollard – Jaguar XJR
Pollard is a Trinidadian cricketer and one of the most experienced West Indian player. He has stayed loyal to Nita Ambani has MI has been his IPL home for many years. His car has a powerful and larger than life persona, just like his personality. He owns a big fat Jaguar XJR, the hardcore version of their flagship saloon. Its roaring V8 produces 550 bhp and it has one of the coolest nicknames in the history of nicknames ‘super saloon’!
Saurabh Tiwary – Land Rover Discovery
Saurabh Tiwary earned his fame through IPL a couple of years ago when he used to play for KKR. Some people also said that he resonated with MS Dhoni which if you are a cricket nerd, is a big compliment. The batsmen like to live a lavish life and drives around in a Land Rover Discovery. The seven-seater SUV sits in the 60-70 lakhs price bracket and has the same engine as the Evoque.
Ishan Kishan – BMW X3
Ishan Kishan is one of the hottest young talents right now. He made his international debut in March 2021 at the mere age of 22. Nita surely paid him a fat check because he bought his first car in 2018, a BMW X3. The mid-range SUV comes either with a 2.0 4 cylinder engine under its hood. While the petrol version is priced at 56 lakhs, the diesel one costs 62 lakhs INR.
Rahul Chahar – Jeep Compass
Finishing off this list with another young talent, Rahul Chahar. He represents Rajasthan in domestic cricket and made his international debut in 2019. The right-hand arm break bowler is the youngest player in the Mumbai Squad(alongside Arjun Tendulkar). It’s pretty shocking to own a car at this age, let alone a premium one but hey, why not! Chahar has a previous-gen Jeep Compass(not confirmed) in the shade of red. The baby Jeep comes has a Fiat-sourced 2.0 litre 4 cylinder diesel engine producing just shy of 170 bhp and a 1.4-litre petrol oil burner putting out 161 bhp. It is priced between 16-20 lakhs.
