Mahindra XUV400 In Making | Launch In 2020

Mahindra is all set to launch the Mahindra XUV400 (codename: S204). The XUV400 will be a 7-seater version of the currently available Mahindra XUV300. The XUV400 would be longer and wider than the XUV300 and will be positioned right between the XUV300 and XUV500.

  • Mahindra will probably showcase the XUV400 in the AutoExpo 2020.
  • Mahindra hasn’t officially declared the launch date for the XUV400. However, the launch can be expected in the second quarter of 2020 (July/August).
  • The Mahindra XUV400 would cost in the estimated range of ₹11 lakh to ₹16 lakh.
  • The XUV400 will be based on the SsangYong Tivoli Air (SsangYong Tivoli XLV) and will use the stretched-out version using SsangYong’s X100 platform.
  • The dimensions of the Mahindra XUV 400 will be 4,440 mm in length, 1,798 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.
  • The Mahindra XUV400 could use the same engine as used in the Marazzo. A 1.5-litre GDI 4-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 123bhp of power and 300nm of torque. The XUV400 will be BS6 compliant.
  • The petrol variant of the Mahindra XUV 400 could use the 1.2-litre turbo petrol or the new BS6 compliant 1.5-litre petrol engine.
  • The interior of the XUV400 will be a mix and match of the XUV300 and XUV500 with a premium plush cabin.
  • Feature-wise, it will get a touch-screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electric sunroof, faux leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control.
  • XUV 400 will compete with rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, MG Hector and the Kia Seltos.
