Kia Seltos sells over 14,000 units!

Kia Seltos has turned out to be the new leader in terms of sales for the Indian market. It has been only 4 months since this car was launched and it has gained immense popularity among the Indian audience. Kia Seltos has sold a total of 14,005 units in the month of November 2019. Due to this great sale number, this car has achieved a total sale of 40,581 units over a span of 4 months. This has made the average sale of the Seltos in India to be calculated as 10,145 units per month!

Kia has achieved a really good start in the Indian market considering the already low demand and the number of competitors already existing. The Seltos amounted for a total of 4.85% UV market share till end-October. Kia Motors further says that they have received a booking of over 60,000 units for the Seltos and they have already started a second shift at their manufacturing facility situated at Anantapur. There are no plans to close the bookings as the plant is capable of meeting the rising demand if the process is carried out in an efficient way!

The fact that the Kia Seltos is BS6 compliant has made it a popular choice among Indians. Further, aggressive pricing has added on as a feature to boost its sales! The Kia Seltos comes with 3 engine options- 1.4-litre GDI turbo petrol, naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel. The starting price tag for the Kia Seltos is Rs.9.69lacs and goes upto 15.99lacs. It has very efficiently raised the bars for the price and features segment. Therefore, the Seltos has proved to be a great competition to the already existing Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks, Mahindra XUV500 and the Renault Captur.
